Where this stands in Lexington, plainly
Lightwork is brand new in Lexington. There is no crowd here, nobody local to point you at, and nothing already running quietly in the background. There is also no champion here yet — nobody has said they will carry this locally, and we are not going to imply otherwise because a county down the road has a page too.
What is true: the app is built, it is free, and it works today on any phone or in a browser. Whether it is useful on your street depends entirely on whether the people on your street are on it. That is the whole ask on this page — the first few groups in a city are the ones that make it worth anybody else’s while.

Is anybody in Fayette County using this yet?
No. Lightwork is pre-launch and there is no local user base to point you at — not in Lexington, and not next door either. If a page ever tells you otherwise, it is wrong. What we can say is that the app is finished enough to use today, it costs nothing, and the groups that start here first are the ones that shape how it goes.
Is this page about Lexington or about the county?
Both — they are the same place. The city and the county merged into one government in 1974, so everywhere inside Fayette County is Lexington: downtown, Masterson Station, Hamburg, and the farm roads out past Athens.
Our group is spread across the whole city.
That is fine. A group is wherever its people are, not a radius on a map. An ask can stay inside your group instead of going out to the public feed, so a group that meets on one side of town still works when half its people live on the other.
What does it cost?
Asking for help, offering it, and coordinating help inside a group you run are free and stay free. No ads. If your organization later wants to be verified and listed across every group it sponsors, that is the part we charge for — pricing is not set yet, so there is nothing to sign up for and nothing to budget.
Who sees what we post?
You choose per ask — keep it inside your group, or put it on the public feed for anyone nearby. Anyone can ask anonymously, so getting help never means being the person everybody knows needed it.
How would we actually start?
